Call For Presentations - 2019 PLRB Large Loss Conference

The PLRB 2019 Large Loss Conference will be held November 13 - 15 at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Florida. Attendees are a very sophisticated and experienced audience of property and casualty claim professionals, looking for new and better ways of adjusting losses of $100,000 and more. It is important to aim high with our content and delivery!

We invite you to submit a proposal to deliver a dynamic educational workshop within one of three tracks of classes: personal lines/property, commercial lines/property, or casualty claims.

The Large Loss Conference has unique requirements for proposals including:

• Workshop format, similar to a file review discussion of a large, complex case
• Clear workshop title
• Names, titles, and company affiliations of all presenters
• List of 3 - 5 “Key Issues” encountered in that specific claim that will be discussed in detail. These will be used extensively in attracting attendees to your workshop so be sure they reflect the core challenges and issues of that particular the claim
• Summary of the claim including its specific challenges
• Rough outline of the 2-hour workshop
  

The Large Loss Conference (unlike our other educational programs) offers interactive workshops, rather than long lectures about important claim topics. Workshops are adjuster-led and critically examine the issues of one particular claim. Co-presenter subject matter experts should be involved as they played important roles in the claim. Your submission should include a clear title, 4 - 5 key issues that were encountered in this claim, a summary of the claim's specific challenges, a rough outline of the session, and all presenters' names with titles and company affiliations. The claims adjuster/supervisor/manager lead presenter should spearhead each workshop. Adjusters can be either staff or independent adjusters. We expect the presentation to follow the life and challenges of a particular “virtual” claim. Focus on the issues faced during the initial, the middle, and the closing portion of the claim. Each workshop is two hours in length. Workshops are delivered twice at the Large Loss Conference.

The Large Loss Planning Committee reviews all presentation proposals and helps select the very best workshops for our 2019 Conference.
